Francisca Vandersmissen was born circa 1800 in Hof ter Kwadewegen in Vlezenbeek on a bed of hops and malt. The region's noble beer lineage flowed freely through her veins. Years later, her sparkling appearance captivated Joos Lindemans. In 1822, the young couple was wed and moved into the Vandersmissen farm brewery. Soon after, they began to brew the foaming gold we call Gueuze. Lindemans brewery was born.
“Cuvée Francisca” is een mengeling van 4 jaar oude lambiek uit de eiken foeders T1001 (20%), T1006 (35%), T1017 (35%) en 10 procent jonge lambiek uit foeder T1014. Het geheel hergistte daarna nog eens 12 maanden op fles.
Deze oude gueuze heeft een goudblonde kleur en combineert smaken van eik, citrus en toetsen van vanille met een sherry-aroma en een verfrissende zurigheid. Een droge, complexe en mooi uitgebalanceerde gueuze voor de liefhebbers.
Weetje : Er werden in totaal 25.000 flessen van 75cl afgevuld. Daarnaast zijn ook 200 jeroboams gebotteld. Deze 3-literflessen worden door de brouwerij voorbehouden voor speciale gelegenheden.

Fles gedeeld door BartvG tijdens pakjes middag, geprobeerd met familie. Het is een helder oranje geel bier met een volle schuimkraag. Hey heeft een zuur aroma met tonen van perzik.
De smaak is fruitig, fris zure appel met een iets bittere afdronk.

Bottle , six years before bbd.Pours hazy golden, with a big creamy head. Aroma is tart notes of hay, fruity brett, with apples and farmhouse notes, as well as tannins and wooden barrels. Medium body, with average carbonation. Flavour is tart fruity notes of hay, fruity brett with apples, grapes and musty fruit peel, as well as floral minerals, tannins and wooden barrels.

Bottle shared. Clear golden, small white head. Massive funk, peach, fresh oak, a ton of apricot, light apple, vanilla. Medium sweet, light sweet and bitter. Full bodied. It's almost like they added apricots it's so fruity. Super lovely funk too. I really like this, lovely cuvée and I don't get any alcohol.

(Bottle, 0.75l, from Alko, 20250124) The beer poured deep golden and hazy. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had sourness, wood, honey and lightly fruitiness. Palate was medium bodied and dry with medium carbonation. Flavours were tartness, sourness, honey, fruitiness, wood and bitterness. Aftertaste had wood, tartness and bitterness. A delicious blend of tartness and malts.

75cl bottle from kihoskh. All mine. heeh heh very complex tart and sour lambic aroma with faint notes of apricot, leather blanket, wood, very well rounded and with tons of fine nuances, but nothing overly funky and weird. near perfect lambic aroma, like fine dining. Flavor i sour lambic, wild lambic, leather, wild yeasts, fruity notes, dry in the mouth, not extremely sour or wild, moderate, expertly blended, well composed, end is fruity, exotic fruity and leathery. blending in the jong might be what has made this so smooth yet complex. I don't know.

Lys brun klar med hvitt skum. Lukter svovel, appelsinskall og eddik. Lett. Sur. Smaker svovel, gress og grønt eple. Middels lang.

Ppurs a slightly dark , clear amberblonde with medium low to low stability white head of med large size. Scent is mild apple, recognizable fine lindemans aroma. Bit citric , wood, fresh impression. Taste is vibrant, citric. Msdium acidity. More malty and espdcially more woody than the average lindemans. Higher carbonation, relatively sharp MF. Very nice , but not as exceptional as i had hoped for.
