Ustator, Fläschchen von Edeka, Au i.d. Hallertau. (25.6.2022.)

Bottle. Murky brown color. Roast, banana, pear and caramel in the aroma. Full bodied. Sweet, caramelly flavor with milk chocolate and banana sweets. Not too bad.

500 ml bottle. Pours muddy dark brown with decent head. Roasted malt, dark chocolate, smoky BBQ notes, caramel, dried dates. Malty sweetness with a decent bitterness. Alcoholic warmth. Low carbonated, creamy texture, full body. Surprisingly pleasant, smooth and round Weizenbock.

0.5 l bottle from ’Biermuda’, best before August 2017. Murky, dark brownish amber with a thin, foamy, stable, off-white head. Sweetish, malty, moderately yeasty-spicy and quite fruity taste of caramel, raisins, prunes, overripe banana and a touch of clove. Rather sweet, malty, moderately yeasty-spicy and slightly fruity taste of overripe banana, caramel, raisins, raspberry jam and some clove, followed by a short, moderately bitter, minimally tart, yeasty-spicy finish. Medium to full body, creamy to oily mouthfeel, average carbonation. Heavy stuff, really saturating, very sweet, unfortunately not overly complex regarding the abv. Overall still a nice beer even if it appears as a bit clumsy.

Bottle at a tasting. Full bodied, high carbonation. Equal parts honeyish biscuity maltiness and spiciness - clove, but I also get hints of gingerbread. Low to none banana, but I do not miss it.

Bottled 500ml. -Muddy brown coloured, small off-white head, caramel and light banana in the nose. Sweet malty, caramel, acidic fruity and touch of banana and alcohol. Not so pleasant acidic overripe fruits in the finish. 7 months after BBE date.
