Fermented longer for a delicious smoother taste, Black Swallow is a supremely hoppy 6% black IPA. A complex taste extravaganza, Black Swallow masterfully combines bitter chocolate flavours with toffee undertones.

Cask at Prince of Wales, Farnborough. 07/06/16. Satisfyingly dark pint but have docked a point for the weak off-white head. Lighter aroma than I expected - bready/yeasty aroma, for an IPA a lack of hops. Smooth palate - the hops come though giving way to a bittet aftertaste. Not bad.

Cask gravity at Siba South East 2015. Black beer. Roasted malt aroma. Black ipa aroma too. Smooth dark chocolate. Decent black ipa to be honest. Good bitterness on the finish. Decent.

Cask-conditioned at the Seven Stars, Bristol 8/1/2015. Dark brown with a thin, off-white, head. Decent, roasted malts, some dark fruits, whiff of pine and a toasty finish. Enjoyable.

[Cask at Reading BF] Dark brown with a beige head. Coffee up front, followed by chocolate, with pine coming through behind. Some roasty bitterness, some flowers. Ultra smooth, Very good indeed, well done.
