Keg @ King's Head, Holt. Very dark brown with a light-brown creamy head. Smooth crisp pour with gentle, but fairly tasty roasted notes available. Might not be from this brewery as the clip only has the beer name but extensive research has found no other black stag stouts in or around the UK.

Sample, thanks to Grumbo. Pours black, thin tan head. Woody roasted malt aroma. Very light roast presence to taste, soft bitterness, good drinkability, not detecting any spicy blackcurrant or liquorice.

500ml bottle from a shop in Bakewell. Poured almost black in colour with a mostly lasting frothy off-white head. The aroma is roasty malt and liqourice. The flavour is moderate liqourice bitter, with a smooth, dry, roasty, chocolate, liqourice bitter palate. Medium bodied with average to soft carbonation.

16/4/2022. Bottle shared with the ITFC boys at the Rotherham beer share. Bought at the brewery. Pours clear dark reddish mahogany brown with a small frothy off-white to beige head. Aroma of coffee, dark chocolate, roasted malt, dark fruits. Moderate sweetness and moderate roasted bitterness. Medium body, oily, soft carbonation. Good.
