Belgica is a traditional Belgian, light amber ale that has a smooth malt base, gentle hop character and bags of flavour from the yeast. There is a light, toasty and nutty aroma from the malt, whilst the yeast brings that unmistakable spicy and fruity aroma to the beer with hints of pear drop and banana.

[Cask at The Back of Beyond (JDW), Reading.] An amber pour with a slight haze and a creamy white head; fruity Belgian yeast aroma with; smooth grainy body with a banana taste; then a lightly bitter finish with a touch of spice in the throat. A nice Belgian ale.

I spent a week of my life in Salcombe some years ago but didn't find this one there. A lower-strength than, but full Belgian style flavoured cask. Bubble-gum notes that linger in taste, slightly less stated in aroma.

Cask at the moon under water Watford Jdw. A clear orange amber coloured pour with a fine white head. Aroma is spicy orange, phenols, clove, grass, earthy grains. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, green liquorice, spicy, chamomile, numbing, light white peppercorns.. Palate is semi sweet, semi crisp, light delicate cask condition. Drinks pretty good.

Cask at the Falcon (JDW), Wycombe. Amber with an off white head. Up front this is definitely Belgian in character; banana-ey yeast, a hint of honey roast ham, and a white bread and banana cake body. The finish is more British - a twiggy, earthy bitterness. Nice to have something a little bit different on cask.

Pint on cask at the gate house jdw.
Thick creamy white head. Slightly hazy golden pour. Light bitterness. Tastes like a Belgian beer.
