Deckhand is a dedication to the fisherman and their hard labour. John’s family and friends have been part of the fishing community growing up. Visiting Brixham, Padstow and Penzance harbours.

Deckhand is a 4.5% delicious golden ale. It’s made with the finest pale malt and a mixture of beautiful citrus hops. It’s a very drinkable beer and even better in the summer months.

500ml bottle from Darts Farm: BB 24th October 2024. Drank at home on 15th February 2024, poured into an old half-pint countryman glass tankard (twice, obviously). Flat and like home brew, no 'fizz' on opening the bottle, no head on the golden body. Old cobweb like dusty flavour, a lesser guy would have drain poured it, but I'm made of sterner stuff and I manfully drank the lot. I may well be rough tomorrow, but I'm having a Cider Frenzy with Ben my son later, so I was always going to be a bit 'groggy'. Sediment arrived in the second pour, loads of floating particles suspended within the beer. Fully expect to be able to shit through the eye of a needle from 100 paces in the morning!
