Light brown colour with thin soapy head and almost no carbonation. Malty, bready. Slight alcohol heat. Touch of boozy, dried fruit sweetness. A little sweet spice too.

Light haze on this amber beer, small pale tan head. Smooth palate, light and fairly dry, decent fine carbonation. Smooth rich malts, caramel and toffee, a little malt cream. The Calvados barrel is well delivered. Bright apple and rich ripe apple and apple booze. Nice touch of vanilla oak. Light finish. Yeah, really delivers the Calvados barrel whilst still retaining a decent malt depth. Tres drinkable.

26 April 2022. At Hal 16 (Dok Brewing). Shared with the lovely Anke!
Clear dark amber, thin, off-white head. Aroma of raisin, date, ripe red apple, pear, wood, brandy. Taste has sweet apple & pear, sourish dried fruit undertone, going over a biscuity, slightly caramelly malt base. Herbal hoppy finish, more dried fruit, ripe apple and warming calvados alcohol. Medium to full body, oily texture, average carbonation. Full and satisfying boozy BW (or WW for that matter).

4/V/22 - on tap @ DOK Brewing Company (Gent), BB: n/a (2022-478)
Clear amber to orange beer, big creamy yellowish head, a little stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: lots of banana, malty, a little spicy, grains, hay, cow fodder, where’s that calvados at? MF: ok carbon, medium to full body. Taste: sweet start, quite some alcohol, malty, lots of caramel, apples, calvados, a gentle bitterness, a bit sweet, nice stuff. Aftertaste: sweet, caramel, malty, gentle bitterness, lovely stuff!
