0.75 l bottle from 'Etre Gourmet', best before October 2041, usually bottled 20 years before. Hazy, golden amber with a medium large, frothy, slowly diminishing, white head. A little sweetish, sourish, quite fruity and gently funky aroma of overripe lemon, apple, oak, horse blanket and some leather. Gently sour, quite fruity, rather funky taste of overripe lemon, horse blanket, oak, white pepper and a touch of apple, followed by a medium long, quite tart, fairly woody-dry, peppery finish. Medium body, gently astringent and fairly effervescent mouthfeel, lively carbonation. Complex and well-balanced Geuze, highly refreshing, lovely.

Cloudy blond gold beer, small creamy white head, non adhesive. Aroma: pretty dirty, garlic, herbal, cheesy, very intense and rather weird, not so pleasant. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: fruity start, gentle bitterness, a bit flat, some onions, cheesy, a bit dirty. Aftertaste: dry and spicy, bitter, herbal, a bit of a hoppy finish. Not sure if it’s because this one is still too young, or because of the yeast that was poured, or something else, but it’s not very pleasant…
