Bottle 0.75l, almost two years aged. Lightly cloudy, red to black colored. AROMA- chocolate, sour cherries, cake with cherry cream filling, a bit earthy. FLAVOR- smooth and velvety, lightly sweet, slightly cherry sour, lightly bitter, sour cherry jam, cake, cocoa nibs, some liquor, lightly earthy. Fuller bodied. Really good.

Tap at Beergeek Bar. Very dark brown body, off-white head. Soft aroma, cherry and light chocolate. Sweet cherry notes and light chocolate, juicy sweet cherries (as the type of cherry), light dry bitter notes, chocolate. Quite okay, drinkable, but the body I'm not too thrilled about.

Bottle. Lovely imperial pastry Stout. Cherries are quite dominant. Decent chocolate feel with hints of vanilla. Hoppy new year!

Tap at Zil verne. Med-full body. Medium carbonation with very silky mouthfeel, smooth, I suspect shitloads of oats in this one, also assertive lactose. Med-high sweetness, lots of malt character, but mostly caramel and chocolate, with restrained deep roast, which I would like to taste more of. Moderate general fruitiness, I probably would not pick up sour cherries by myself, but it fits what I taste. Also fits the beer in itself, which feels more portery than stout-like to myself. Light warmth. Overall good in emulating the dessert, though I would like to see it tweaked more to be a better, more balanced beer.
