Our pals at Low Key paid a visit to the Vault City brewery to collaborate with us on something very special. We both wanted a big beer but a sessional ABV, so that’s exactly what we did.
Expect sweet flavours of chocolate and vanilla layered with delicately tart cherries in our Tonka Black Forest Gateau, Session Sour. The addition of Tonka beans creates an amazing aroma, amplifying vanilla and cherry notes.
With every sip you can almost picture the irresistible black forest gateau that inspired this decadent, but sessionable, pastry sour.

Draught keg at the Tap Tavern, Richmond. Brownish purple, fairly translucent with a quickly dissipating puce head. Aroma is full of cherry and red velvet cake, some red grape, some vanilla. Absolutely gorgeous bit struggling to place the tonka here. Taste is super sweet with touches of sour initially... and just at the finish. A little bit of tonka here in addition to other characteristics, perhaps it serves to enhance everything else rather than stand out on its own... Light body with softer carbonation. Gorgeous.

Аромат умеренно сладкий, есть легкие нотки от ягод, в особености вишня, также нотка шоколада, почти Бельгийского, немного бобов. Цвет ягодный, полу светлый, пенки почти нету. Вкус хороший, достаточно питкий и яркий для сессионого саура. Больше сладкий чем кислый, черешня, немного смородины, легкие специи и бобы при глотке. В целом интересный саур.

keg at wee vault... deep red... thin white lacing... soft sweet wierd herbal nose... soft tart fruit.. soft sharp tart fruit.. not getting Tonka but wierd.. very acetic

Can sample at a tasting at Yoav's place. Cloudy yellow. Pickled vegetables, some cherry, a bit of tonka, marzipan note, sour and sweet, lactose.

440ml can. Hazy reddy purple, light pink head. Aroma of cherries, chocolate, tonka. Taste of tart cherries, sweet creamy vanilla, tonka, chocolate, very cake-y. Medium bodied.

On tap at The Star & Garter, Bromley. Hazy red pour with a white head. Nose is glacé cherries, vanilla, blackcurrant. Taste is almond, cherry drops, strawberry cheesecake. Oodles of sweet red fruit in the finish.

Keg @ Tap and Can. Hazed dark red appearance. Smoothie like cherry and blackcurrant form the bulk of character here with a welcome addition of tonka too. Full flavoured stuff.
