Spend Your Wishes is a collaboration with friends from Elusive Brewing. We both reminisce about classic West Coast ales and IPAs. This beer is our take on the classic Red IPA, layered through the boil with Simcoe and then dry hopped with four classic varieties.

Can from House Of Trembling Madness. Hazy amber/brown body with a thick off-white head. Lively carbonation. Aroma of blood orange, copper and toffee. Flavour of grapefruit, raw hops and peach. Medium body with an oily texture. Light fizz. Bold, bitter and tongue-tinglingly hoppy. More Red IPAs please!

Can from Raynville. It pours hazy more muddy brown than red with a bubbly white head. The aroma is bitter - sweet, sappy, oily, resinous pine, pithy, zesty, pink grapefruit, blood orange and tangy marmalade. The taste is crisp, firmly dry, bitter, sappy, oily, piney, resinous, sappy, peppery spice, pithy, zesty, bitter orange rind, campari, pink grapefruit, kumquat and some cola sweetness with a bitter, resinous lingering finish. Medium+ body, moderate carbonation and slick mouth feel. Nice one.

Can at home in Hackney - picked up from Beer Merchants Tap. Pours mostly clear red-brown with a foamy, light beige head. Medium sweet flavour, rich pine, toasted grains, citrus fruits, some earth. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Finishes with more toasted strain, whole grain bread, rich pine, light resin, orange rind. Excellent.

A resinous bite with s big wave of rye slice. Tangy citrus. Underlying hints of burnt caramel. Light-medium bodied. Thin but creamy. Average-fizzy carbonation. Long dry somewhat astringent finish. Resinous yet spicy. Good stuff.

Can. Burning Sky online shop. Muddy red. Very messy and sticky beige head. Nose has Jammie Dodgers. Fresh citrus hoppage. Some spearmint. Some fresh pine. Smells great. Taste is a little sweet and sticky with a citrus and pine needle bitterness. Smooth and very easy drinking. Foamy rolling carbonation. Nicely juicy. Moderate bitterness to finish. Would have preferred a bit more bitterness throughout, but it’s still a cracker.
