Half cask at The Forest. Near black pour, creamy beige head. Light roasty aroma, licorice. Taste is ashy, smoky, woody, light sweetness, burnt toast. Nice body with lingering smoke on the palate.

Cask. Gravity dispense. 40th Steel City Beer Festival, Sheffield. Nearly black. Tan head. Dark fruit. Liquorice. Big roast malt. Taste is dry, and roast bitter. Ashy dry palate. Finishes dry, and long bitter.

Cask-conditioned at the Seven Stars, Bristol 5/8/2014. Near black with a slight, off-white head. A stout dominated by roasted malts, with some sweetness in the background, liquorice and a dryish finish. Good.

Cask at Ealing beer festival 2014. A dark brown/black coloured pour with a medium beige head on top. Roasty, malty, caramel aroma. Tastes roasty, malty, caramel.

Cask gravity @ Craft100. Pours a black color with a small tan head. Has a roasted malty caramel and chocolate aroma. Roasted malty caramel and chocolate flavor. Has a roasted malty caramel and chocolate finish.

Cask at CBC, Clerkenwell on 28th February 2014. Virtually black with pale brown, shallow loose foam. Roast malt aroma. Delicious mouthful of roast malts, coffee and bitter chocolate. Roast finish with citric touch and spices. Zingy mouthfeel and medium body. Superb.

Cask at CBC Clerkenwell - London. Pours briwn with a frothy, beige head. Subtle roasted malts in the nose, a bit of ash and milk chocolate. Light-medium seeet flavor with further milk chocolate character, very mild bitterness bitterness, touches of chili maybe, some dirt. Light to medium bodied with fine carbonation; good condition. Nice balance to finish with mild spiciness, cocoa, burnt marshmallow. Tasty, easygoing stout.
