Our very first Black India Pale Ale! A beautiful balance between hop powered citrus and tropical fruits, a hint of bitterness and a smoothness from dark malts.
This moreish IPA was made in collaboration with Finnish brewers CoolHead.
CoolHead is all about the Nordic and exotic clashing. In their beers you can taste the clean, crisp and minimalistic notes resembling the Nordic nature, but also the fresh, colourful and exciting taste of the tropics.
Rabbit Pants captures the flavours and principles of a CoolHead beer with a Wild twist. We used Idaho 7, Simoce, Chinook and Centinnial hops to create a tropical essence that contradicts the stout-like appearance.

Can from Beer52 in their Scandinavian box although this one seems to be brewed in and labelled Wild Beer, Somerset! Dark mahogany with small beige head and decent retention. Aroma of citrus, overripe mango, hop spice, light roasted malt. Taste of lime, orange, sherbet, mango upfront. Finish has a light crispness, spice and some of the dark malt is noticeable but it could do with more oomph. Nice near medium body/soft mouthfeel does give it a sessionable quality. Overall its good.

Can from Beer 52 – drank at home. Another gusher this ! Not particularly effervescent on opening, but despite careful pouring I still got a glass full of froth. Anyway, pours a very dark reddish-brown with a large, frothy, but quite transient cream head and good lacing. The aroma is a mix of malts and chocolate with hints of citrus and floral hops. In the mouth, it is sweet and creamy atthe start though hoppy, tangy, cola vibes are quickly felt. Roasted malts and tropical fruits in the flavour, maybe mango. Some fruity bitterness in the finish. Reasonable – promises much but never quite delivers.

Aroma is citrusy, tropical, milk chocolate, ash, roasted malt, pine. Medium sweetness, moderate roasted bitterness. Moderate body, slightly creamy, average carbonation. Some increasing bitterness to finish. Decent.

Large foamy tan head on a near black body. Bitter, malt & hoppy aroma. Medium bodied, soft on the tongue with a short sharp back. Malt, metallic, coffee, bitter & grapefruit tastes with a hoppy finish. Good one.
