Can picked up from Bierothek, Fürth and consumed at home Wednesday 25th June 2025 in the company of Mum and Keith, we had homemade burgers and homemade burger relish, earlier listened to 6Music with Huw Stephens at Glastonbury. We're sat outside on the patio. Pours dark brown, with a sticky beige head. Roasted malt, a little tart with a light bitterness throughout. There's a little milky sweet edge, soft mouthfeel, sour cherries, fine.

"Black Forest Cake", "dieses Mal hergestellt bei Hoppebräu, Waakirchen", 33-cl-Dose von Liebick, 8.6.2025. - Pechschwarz, kurzlebiger brauner Schaum.

Can at home, black beer, small to no head. Aroma is roast, malt, hint of chocolate, very faint hint or imagination of cherry. Taste is the same, bitter, dry, roast, coffee, malt, some dusty grain, maybe a hint of cherry. Dont know if the cherry juice was left out on this batch but this is mediocre.

330ml can. Quasi black colour with average, thick, creamy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, beige head. Relatively weak, roasty, chocolately, dark malty and minimally fruity aroma, notes of dark chocolate, a touch of roasted nuts, some morello, minimally metallic overtones. Taste is bitter, roasty and chocolately, dark malty, slightly bitter hoppy, minimally metallic, weak fruity hints of cherry, morello, some dark chocolate, a touch of roasted nuts, chocolate cake. Watery texture, dry, minimally repellant palate, fine, mildly prickly carbonation. OK composition, a bit cautious, light off-flavours - improvable.
