Bottle. Pours golden with a big white head. A clean and for a double bock, light brew. Sweet maltyness and low bitterness, drinkable.

50cl Bottle at Café Brecht. Cloudy golden colour with a huge rocky white head. Aroma of malt, wheat, banana, citrus, herbal hops. Flavour is quite sweet, malty, lemon, herbal bitterness, banana, sweet apple, honey, firm bitter finish. Medium-bodied, smooth. Really nice.

Bottle. Pours golden, slightly hazy with a big white head. Sweet, fruity aroma with notes of citrus, pear, honey and mild clove. Sweet, doughy taste with a flowery, citrusy and cesty hoppiness. Also notes of honey. Some alcohol in the aftertaste. A bit too carbonated.

Bottle, danke Günther! I was cheated, I thought I was opening a Kellerbier, oh well that will teach me to read the label. Looks like a nice ungespundetes though: Cloudy yellow, fine carbonation, rocky white head. Fairly honeyish aroma, cant quite hide the strength, also a hint butterscotch. Minerally entry, fruity calvados notes, aromatic hop play, light citric orangepeel in the finish. Fullbodied, pleasant mouthfeel. Unusual, rough, but tasty Doppelbock.

(swing-top-bottle) Clear, golden colour with a dense and slightly off-white medium-sized foamy head. Delicately bready malty aroma with hints of biscuits and herbal, as well as subtle fruity hops. Moderately sweet and slightly bitter flavour, medium to full bodied with a soft and well-matured carbonation. Hearty malt-character with notes of biscuits, honey, a subtle fruity touch and a well-embedded hoppy bitterness; lingering malty and rounded hoppy finish. Very balanced and delicious pale Doppelbock. 03.III.12

Old-fashioned Bügelverschlußflasche: Clear, golden, creamy & lacy white head, moderate aromas of bisquits, pale malt in the nose, including a nutty and a barnyardy touch; moderate to solid sweet-bitter flavour, medium bodied, very smooth with a silky MF; well balanced sweet-bitter finish with bisquits and malt, again, followed by a hoppy aftertaste. Devilishly moreish…
