Deep red color with a malty and earthy aroma. Taste is dry and woody with caramel sweetness underneath and a floral or earthy hop finish.

Pint can from Flanagan's, 6/28/23. Clear red, medium tan head, average retention. Aroma of toffee, cherry. Taste is toffee, earth, cola, pine. Well balanced. Nice.

Bottle, small bubbly head, clear dark brown with reddish taints, caramel, maltz, wood, metal notes, quite dry with medium burned bitterness. Nice but very simple.

Sample (thanks omhper!). Very deep amber colour, mediumsized foamy off-white head. Aroma is spices, some banana and mild raisins. Flavour is raisins, some spices, mild peat and some slight liquorice tones. Quite crisp, but still smooth maltiness in aftertaste.

Bottle 50 cl. Bronze color, clear, good yellowish foam. Aroma: caramel, butter, slightly champignons, light fruitiness, jam, bread toasts. Sweetish taste, a bit sour, caramel, jam, buttered toasts, light creaminess, bitter finish, classic style.

14.9 oz. can Total Wine - Naples. Pours a clear, super dark ruby red color with a small beige head and fair retention. Almost no lacing. Rich malty and smokey flavor with light caramel flavor and no bitterness. Medium-light body. Low carbonation.

Appearance: Clear deep bronze colour with a large ivory-coloured head of good retention. Aroma: Caramel, bread, esters, chocolate, floral & herbal hop, faint citrus fruits. Taste: Light sweet, medium bitter. Caramel, bread, esters, chocolate, floral hop of high quality. Mouth feel: Medium body. Creamy. Appropriate carbonation. Summary: Very solid.

400ml on tap at Share House in Moscow. At 5.5% ABV. Pours clear dark red with a medium-sized beige head. Aroma is malt, berries, toffee. Taste is light sweet, toasted malt, berries, toffee, biscuit. Medium bitter finish. Medium bodied.
