Can. Dark red brown with a cm of pale beige head that lasts very well. Aroma of stewed fruit, dark sugars, bread. Malty and sweet but stays defined even before light spiced bitterness. Not really my thing but very well done.

Bottle from Beers of Europe. Pours a dark red getting towards brown with small beige head. Light roast, toffee, berries in aroma. Taste of sweet light roasted malt, biscuit, light berries, pine, bitter dry finish. Soft medium body. Good.

Can from Total Wine in Vacaville, CA. Pours ruddy tinged, clear dark brown with a decent tan head. Aroma is caramel/roasty/malty with a light touch of Tmavy. Med body for sure. Not dry, but not very sweet. Not very bitter. Hints of dark fruit. Very good flavor.

Pounder pint can @ 3.25$. Very dark beer, to say its ruby red is a misnomer, its much darker brown than that. Nice pour with a creamy tan head. Nose is a civilized mild malty mix. First taste is quite surprising for a red ale, I'm so used to the domestic killiams red. This stuff has more old world personality without being rude. It's a friendly burnt wood near malty attitude, and it comes across as quite enjoyable, a good example of what a darker beer should be. It shows its historical culture. Its so good mannered, decorous, gentlemanly, gracious and at the same time ladylike. I'm digging this red ale, probably one of the better Irish red ales I've had in a long time. Right up there with some of my faves like; Beaver Horny Sheepherder, Brew Keepers Eireann Dearg, Biker JD's Rumblin' Red, Church Brew Imperial Irish Red & Rooney's Old Irish. Yea baby! Thanks Sully, I'm glad I picked up this euro pint.
