500ml bottle from Broadtown Brewery. Gluten Free. Orangey amber-brown colour, bubbly off-white foam head leaving lacing and aroma of bready malt, toffee hint, herbal note. Taste is sweetish, malty, bready, caramel, butterscotch, tangy, citric with some earthy bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, drying malty bitter finish. Quite drinkable.

Cask at Alehouse, Reading. Aroma is fruity. Berries. A hint of tobacco. Clear golden brown. Thin frothy white head. Light-medium bitter. Grainy. Tart berries. Underlying malts. Light-medium bodied. Slick. Average-fizzy carbonation. Long dry astringent finish. It's a beer. It's fine but that's it.

Taste comprises stewed fruits, grass, herb, biscuit, grains, crackers. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, light drying close with a modest bitter edge. Ok offering.

12/5/2021. Bottle bought direct from the brewery. This is 4.7% abv. Pour hazy dark amber gold with a huge frothy off-white head. Aroma is earthy, hoppy, malty, orange, grapefruit, flowers, touch of dried fruit and nut. Moderate sweetness, medium bitterness. Medium body, quite lively carbonation. Growing fruity bitterness to finish, very flavoursome EPA, just a little unrefined.
