Pours a slightly unclear lemonyellow. Scent is full, vanilla and oak shine beautifully, alongside some chestnut style nuttyness. Not very clear on the honey, but indeed a fun and new expression in mead. Taste is fairly sweet by the vanilla and barrel, ends fairly dry and quite boozy. This is fun! Even though I usually tend do dislike dryer meads, the barrel and vanilla work way better than expected..

14/VIII/22 - on tap, shared @ Bar Beenhouwer (Gent), BB: n/a (2022-1002)
Very clear pale light yellow mead, no head. Aroma: weird, lots of gingerbread, spicy, some cardamom, sugary, a bit “meaty”, beefy even if you like, caramel, hint of aniseed, some Amaretto, almonds, lots of alcohol, a bit woody. MF: no carbon, medium to full body. Taste: very sweet start, lots of honey, sugary, a bit of an alcohol burn, sweet, soft acidity, fruity notes, Amaretto, more sugary, honey, decent one.

9 June 2022. At Hal 16 (Dok Brewing). Cheers to the Teamleader crew!
Clear pale yellow, no head. Aroma of candied apple, apricot, honey, vanilla, cream, white chocolate, bourbon. Taste has sweet apple & apricot in a creamy vanilla-like body, bit woody. Sweet honey & bourbon (and a vanilla effect) lingering, quite boozy. Medium to full body, oily texture, soft carbonation. Enjoyable 'heavy' Mead although a bit too boozy.
