Bourbon barrel-aged salted peanut imperial stout 13.3%
Last year, Amundsen (Oslo) visited us and we put a velvety imperial stout into freshly emptied bourbon barrels. After 14 months, we pulled the beer and added over a quarter-tonne of peanuts. A touch of salt provides the perfect balance to the sweet and savory roasted-nut flavor, while the bourbon gives finishing notes of vanilla, oak and caramel.

Bottle at Piccadilly, Bod�. Pours a black colour with no head. Aroma of chocolate truffles, rubber, bourbon, licorice, peanuts and nougat. Flavour of bourbon, vanilla, coffee, licorice and brownies. Has a silky mouthfeel, full-bodied and a soft bitterness. Incredibly rich and complex. Heavy but well-balanced.

Black with a short lived light brown head. A nice chocolate and slightly wooden barrel sense. Sweet with still a warm chocolate, wooden barrels and dark fruis sense at the end. Full bodied, nice! 3rd yr. wedding anniversary, 0.1 p extra for that.

Bottle shared at the Columbus tasting 31/08/2022. Many thanks to Colin. A dark black brown coloured pour with a halo of tan head, Artoma is semi sweet, nutty, dark roast, alcohol, brown malts. brown sugars, peanut, butter, raisin, sticky brown sugars.

Bottle shared in London. Cheers to Cloin. Pours deep brown with a slight, foamy off-white head. Very sweet, lots of bready malts, brown bread, brown sugar, minimal bitterness. Medium to full bodied with fine carbonation. Sugary finish, lightly warming. Bit simple. Drinkable though.

Can. Level 6 bottleshare. Thanks to Cloin. Almost clear dark brown beer, no real head. Smooth dark malts, slightly thin but hugely rich. Good dark chocolate and maple. Some vanilla and ripe fruits. Light finish. Tasty enough.

Bottle split at the Level 6 Tasting, picked up from an online peddler whom I can't recall, 31/08/2022.
Black with a tan cap that escapes edgewards over time.
Nose is dark malts, nutty, caramel, vanilla, mellow barrel.
Taste comprises dark malts, chocolate praline, light spice balance, vanilla essence, toffee melt.
Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a balanced rising boost and barrelled edge.
Solid work.

Omfg what a shitload of sugar, salted peanuts, maple or sugar, toffee, sugar, chocolate, sugar, pours thin, sugar, bourbon and sugar… sorry this is terrible stuff, ducking sugar bomb… lacks balance in all way done with this sugar water, terrible stuff.DNF

On tap at Garden brewery Zagreb; Lervig tap takeover. Pitch black coloured, small brown head that went away fast, pleasant chocolate and peanut nose. Roasted malt, chocolate, caramel, noticable peanut, chocolate fudge and light bourbon barrel and balanced alcohol with again peanut in the finish. Quite nice and enjoyable.
