Sampled @ Borefts Bier Festival 2022. A almost black beer with a beige head. Aroma of mid sweet dark chocolate malt, caramel, cacao. Taste of intense chocolate, cacao, strong dark malt. Not too sweet.

On tap at Borefts. Pours black with moderate tan nitro head. Aromas of creamy chocolate, coffee, vanilla and roasted malts. Flavors follow same; nitro creaminess balanced with bitter roasted malts. Solid.

23/IX/22 - on tap @ Borefts Day 1, BB: n/a (2022-1179) Thanks to all for sharing today’s beers!

Clear black beer, big creamy beige brown head, stable, a bit adhesive, leaving some lacing in the glass. Aroma: malty start, grains, cocoa powder, dried fruits, oxidized, nice! MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: bitter start, dry roast, some melon rind, a bit unpleasant, cocoa powder. Aftertaste: bitter roast, malty touch, cocoa, coffee grit, melon rind, lots of dark chocolate in the finish.

Trockener Kakaobeginn. Etwas Schokolade, helles Holz, nett aber eintönig. Im Ausklang wie zu Beginn viel Kakao. 13/8/8/9//8

23/9/22: Great thickness and lovely creamy, without much boozyness to speak of. The chocolate is clear and present, in great amounts, both added as roastyness. Some good coffee flavours too. Does what it promises, but a tad one-dimensional.

24/9/22: Again. Roasty, lots of chocolate, bitter. 7.8

Can. Black color with beige head. Aroma is dark chocolate, good cocoa (not surprising given that it's from Zotter), nice fruity touch, mildly roasty, a tiny touch soy sauce, pretty rich but not overdone. Taste is thick black chocolate, good roast, sweet but not too sweet, super velvety mouthfeel. Solid Chocolate Imperial Stout!

Can. Oil Black, medium cascading beige head, ok lasting. Nice cacao nose, later some booze and vanilla and lots of wood (oak). Starts gently sweet, follows roasted and medium bittery, cacao-like. Lasting and gentle afteratste. Fully and silky.
