50 cl bottle. Dark brown colour with big creamy head. Mild malt and metal aroma.Toffee,malt and chcocolate notes . Long bitter aftertaste.Medium carbo. Thanks to german beers like this one I’m liking again Dunkels.

Bottle @ Bamberg outskirts. Perhaps Pegnitz. Not sure. Pours dark amber with a small white head. Roasted and dry. Earthy. Quite some grains and paperbag. Caramel and rye-bread.

Bottle picked up from Sulzberger Bierhaus, Pffahenhofen an der Ilm and consumed at Camping Lam, Saturday 7th September 2024 after a hike to Arrach. Pours hazy chestnut colour with a fast disappearing off white head. Forgot to mention we're listening to Fat Dog - Woof and cooking Tomatoes, Feta, Olives, and Gnocchi. Back to the beer, it's refreshing a little nutty with a touch of caramel. Decent Dunkel.

Tap at Fränkisches Bierfest. Deep chestnut, mostly clear. Bread n cold butter, roasted. Earthy, clean. Slow and soft.

Kanone Dunkel, Flasche von den unbesiegbaren Getränkerittern. - Dunkles Kastanienrot, klar; schöner Schaum. - In der Nase recht kerniges dunkles und Röstmalz, ein wenig Torf und milde aber gute hopfenwürzige Herbe mit leisen mediterranen Zügen. - Antrunk tief dunkelmalzig mit nicht zu knappem Röstmalz, dezenter Kirsche, fein abgeschmeckter Säure und solider herbal-hopfenwürziger Herbe. Erfreulich wenig süß trotz feiner Karamelnote. Milder rezent, vollmundig. Im Abgang fein malzbitter und gar nicht so knapp hopfenherb. - Sehr solides, sauber gerstig-röstmalziges Dunkles, mild aber doch besser gehopft als viele Vertreter dieser - zu oft etwas langweilig wirkenden - Sorte. Mein bestes Kanonen-Bier bislang. (26.10.2023.)

Swing top bottle. Dark brown color. Chocolate and caramel in the aroma and flavor. Malty sweet. Soft roasty notes. Well balanced. Good!

50cl swing top bottle. Pours clear dark reddish brown colour with a mid-sized most good lasting beige head. Aroma of mild roasted malt, nuts, caramel. Taste of dark malt, caramel, nuts, some chocolate, okay!
