Bottle picked up from Trinkgut Getrankemarkt, Bad Kötzting and consumed at home listening to ByteFM and cooking on the BBQ, Loz is BBQ&smoking Corn on the Cob, Red Pepper and Onion, then add to a pan and add Potatoes and stock to make Smokey Corn Chowder Tuesday 23rd July 2024. Pours clear gold with a white head. A little bit grainy, nice soft carbonation, malty with a light hoppiness. A good Helles.

Bottle, 0.33l, courtesy of CanCrusher. Aroma is grainy, grassy and floral. Pours clear golden color with medium sized soapy white head and average sparkling appearance. Taste starts light to medium sweet grainy and citrusy, following is yeasty, grassy and slightly medicinal, mouthfeel is dry, while finish is average bitter. Klare goldene Farbe mit weißer Schaumkrone. Malziger, leicht getreidiger Geruch. Geschmacklich malzig, leicht getreidig, würzig mit leichter fruchtiger Note. Nur leicht süß mit leichter Bitterkeit, mittlerer Körper mit spürbarer Kohlensäure.

Optisch macht dieses Bier mit seinem hellen Goldgelb und der weißen, feinporigen Schaumkrone einen ganz passablen Eindruck. Die Schaumkrone ist dabei schön stabil und ganz gut haltbar. Die Duftaromatik zeigt sich leicht süßlich malzig, sowie fruchtig bis leicht kräuterartig hopfig bzw. würzig - sehr angenehm. Der Antrunk wirkt fein rezent, angenehm frisch und getreidig. Auch der Mittelteil zeigt sich von einer sehr getreidigen, spelzigen Seite, dem es auch an schöner Würze nicht fehlt. Ganz typisch bayerisch hält sich die Hopfenaromatik dabei sehr zurück. Erwähnenswert ist vielleicht, dass dieses Helle zwar einen absolut bayerischen Charakter hat, aber weniger süß als viele andere ist. Das jedoch würde ich als völlig wertfrei stehen lassen - vor allem weil ich der Meinung bin, dass so ein Bier nicht zwingend süß sein muss. Der vollmundige und überaus getreidige Charakter kann auf jeden Fall überzeugen. Die etwas überdurchschnittliche Rezenz passt hier auch ganz gut und wirkt der guten Süffigkeit überhaupt nicht entgegen. Im Abgang schwindet die Getreidenote relativ rasch - jedoch bleibt die Würze gut stehen.

very full bodied and slightly sweet and eatery for the style. Seems stronger, i would’ve guess it’s a bock. However it’s fruity,clean and enjoyable. 2019 bad santa advent

Bottle via Kalea advent calendar 2019. Clear gold colour lasting white head. Good condition and good mouthfeel. Very drinkable. Some malt no doubt some rather attractive lemon flavour on the finish. The bottle disappeared very quickly which is always a good sign. I liked it .
