HIBISCUS INFUSED SAISON

Rosalinda is a bright and refreshing beer not unlike the summer. Added hibiscus gives it a rich red tone and sourness of berries. Special saison yeast complements it with spicy notes. If you drink, don't swim!

Can at Drink Baar, Tallinn. Pours slightly hazy red copper with very small head. Aroma of sweet cherries, ham, pepper, spices. Taste sweet with a little cherry sourness. Peppery and spicy finish. Thin to medium bodied.

Can 44 cl. Pours a beautiful, clear red with a lovely and lacing pink head. There's a berry like slight tartness to the nose. Medium body, subtle spicy esters from the Saison yeast, a slight fruitiness and a vague tartness towards the end. Not sure how much flavor the Hibiscus actually adds, but it sure adds an amazing color. And the base beer is a very decent Saison. Not bad at all. 231120

Smell-weak malt, bit fruity maybe. Foam- thin, sour, bitter, citrus and sourer. Head is small, dirty pink color. Appearance - brewer bottle cap, unique bottle design, seems nice and has a bonus for that. Hazy, red-brown color, weak carbonation. From - snifter Taste - hibiscus, sourness, a bit of malt and bitterness. Sour-bitter hibiscus thing.. not for me.

Bottle shared. Thanks Raul! Pours a bright cherry cough syrup rouge with almost no head. Lovely cherry and cranberry notes on the nose with some faint hibiscus and light floral aromas. A tad syrupy on the body, but not overly sweet. Feels maybe a bit heavy. Some dryness from the skins on the finish. --- Beer merged from original tick of Rosalinda on 29 Sep 2016 at 19:57 - Score: 7. Original review text: Lovely, dry hibuscus and cherry. Maybe a tad syrupy.

Pours almost purely red, only a little foam. Aroma has cranberries, nice light sourness in front of base malts. Tastes like berries, bit of malt backbone, dry and fruity - with tannins that are coming from cranberry skins. Pretty good, maybe does not have extreme depth but definitely a good brew.
