Tap at the brewpub. Opaque golden pour, white head with good retention. Nose is held back malty, there’s hay and a touch of honey perhaps. Taste is kinda dusty, bittersweet malty with a touch of noble hop presence. Not quite crispy what I look for in my svetlys.

Golden colored, clear, small+ white head. Aroma is of malt, some grain, medium- noble grassy & spicy hops. Taste is medium- sweet malt, some grain, light to medium spicy and grassy hops, medium bitterness, dry finish. Medium to light bodied, average carbonation, watery. A bit too watery but other than that a fine Pilsner. (on tap, Karel IV brewery)

Bottle, 4.3%. Fruity and lagery aroma. Almost clear golden colour. Small frothy white head. The flavour is fruity and slightly buttery with a floral aroma hop. Has a distinct bitterness, but clean enough.

Bottle from the brewpub. Pours clear golden with airy white head. Clear aroma of yeast and malt, with notes of hops and touches of dia. Sweetish flavour of malt and yeast, with bready and hoppy notes. Bitterish aftertaste. Nothing special. Had expected a higher quality.

draught in a little pivnice in Tynska, just off Staromestske namesti, Prague. What a surprise to find this in the touzrist heart of the city. Golden yellow with a creamy white head. Malty with saaz hops, bitter-sweet overall impression. Classic Czech 11°, well crafted.

Tap at RJ. Aroma green apples. Other than that clean pilsner. Clear golden colour, stable white head. Taste is classic, pilsner malt, hops. Light stale off-flavour. Thin bodied, watery mouthfeel, low carbonation. Good classic pilsner.

Lahev:Golden, hazy, slowly collapsing mid-sized white head, sweetish-bitter malty nose with a chalky touch, backed by spicy Bohemian hops; moderate bitter-sweet flavour, quite light bodied; slightly lingering bitter-sweet finish with spicy Saazy aromas in the aftertaste. O.K., but not completely convincing…
