Brewed similar to classic pale ale, the ZWICKL MAX emerges from the storage cellar barrelled and bottled in its natural unfiltered state. The malt, yeast and hop sediments contained in the unfiltered ZWICKL MAX account for the distinctively palatable and rounded taste. Fitted with a pull-off-cap preferred by young customers, ZWICKL MAX is absolute “Bavarian Beer Bliss” for in-between times and occasions.

(bottle, 33cl) Cloudy, pale golden colour with a big and blond foamy head. Yeasty pale malty nose with notes of citrus and hay. Moderately sweet and bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a crisp carbonation. Yeasty and malty taste with subtle fruity notes; medium-dry sweet malty and yeasty-bitter, slightly hoppy finish. 08.VII.10

Bottle (donated by joss!): Pale golden, hazy, slowly collapsing white head with a little lace; grainy and woody-hoppy nose with a discreet yeasty-fruity backbone; light to moderate bitter-sweet flavour, soft, medium bodied; sweetish-fruity finish with a light, but distinctive hoppy aftertaste. Bottle. Pale hazy yellow, white foam. Light citric yeasty nose. Hayish start, lightish body, herbal and fresh citric notes on a grainy base, dry finish. Pleasant lime aftertaste.

330ml bottles shared with Finn at a gardenparty in Ingolstadt. Pale golden body with an initial rocky, white head. Grassy smell. Sweet kellerbier with fruity notes and still more sweetness towards the ending. Rather disappointing (20.06.2007).
