Brewed similar to classic pale ale, the ZWICKL MAX emerges from the storage cellar barrelled and bottled in its natural unfiltered state. The malt, yeast and hop sediments contained in the unfiltered ZWICKL MAX account for the distinctively palatable and rounded taste. Fitted with a pull-off-cap preferred by young customers, ZWICKL MAX is absolute “Bavarian Beer Bliss” for in-between times and occasions.

Trübes gelbes Zwickel mit geringem Schaum. Geruch hopfig grasig, Geschmack angenehm herb, minimal säuerlich, süffig.

Bottle @ Ambrosetti, Berlin. Pours clear pale yellow with a small white head. Fresh hay and grain. A bit of grass and a perfumey bitterness. Some breadcrust. Quite pleasant.

Bottle. Pale hazy gold with a full head. Aroma of fruit bread and some dry malt. Flavour is sweet cloudy malt with a fresh hop base and a dry sweet finish.

Slightly hazy yellow with moderate carbonation and next to no head. Sweetish, orange fruit and grassy hop aroma. Drinkable.

From tap at 4:20. Pours hazy yellow with a small white head. Aroma is grassy and light yeasty. Bitter, light bubblegum yeasty. Crisp hoppy and light grassy too.

20/04/2012 Brasserie 4:20 (tap). Dorata spenta, lievemente torbida, con buona schiuma biancastra. Aroma non molto intenso ma meravigliosamente armonioso, sentori di pane (lieviti), latte e miele (orzo). In bocca è dolciastra, delicata, maltata, con amaro non percettibile, ma che contribuisce al bilanciamento complessivo della birra. Sorso dopo sorso emerge una gradevole e inaspettata complessità nonostante la sua semplicità di base. Corpo medio, carbonazione molto (troppo) abbondante. Davvero una bella birra, peccato per la carbonazione eccessiva che ne limita la bevibilità.

Tap at 4:20, Rome. Pours cloudy gold with a foamy, white head. Biscuity malt nose, light grass. Medium sweet, more biscuity malts, light corn. Light to medium in body with average carbonation. Sweet, light bitter finish, more bread. A great drinker.

Draught @ SUMMER BEER FESTIVAL, Parco Rosati,via delle Tre Fontane, Roma, Italy.Unclear medium yellow colour with a small average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting to diminishing, white head. Aroma is moderate malty, grain, hay, straw, toasted, light hoppy, citrus - grass. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20110513]

On tap at Summer Beer Festival Rome. Hazy gold with lasting white head. Touch of lager puke. Quite light and fresh in the mouth. Quite tasty. I like it. Settles down into a decent lager. Very fresh. Pale gold slight haze. Touch of lemon on the aroma. Fresh and tasty. Fonefan guided me through this one. Respect.
