Tap@Taphouse, Copenhagen (19/08/2022) - hazy golden yellow with a white head. Bold punchy fruity aroma and taste, lots of red grapefruit, pineapple, juicy fruity, and some strata strawberry chiming in, dank and piney, set upon a creamy sweet malty backbone, finish is assertive hoppy. Top drawer from Beak yet again.

17th July 2022 Can. Cloudy gold beer, good pale cream colour head. Airy palate, slightly soft and very mildly dry, good fine minerally carbonation livens it up on the back end. Soft creamy pale malts form a nice base for the Strata hops. Strata is a bit of an enigmatic hop for me, sure it brings a light savoury skunk but what else? Supposedly passion fruit but it's rarely there for me. This beer bucks that trend a bit, a touch of ripe passion fruit along with a little mango and a backdrop of citrus. Plenty of hop spice nibble on the back end which finishes crisp. Another assured dipa from Beak, who have now become an automatic buy for me in the dipa stakes.

Can from House Of Trembling Madness. Murky golden body with no head. No visible carbonation. No lacing. Aroma of orange, peach and booze. Flavour of grapefruit, nectarine and lemon jelly. Thin to medium body with a slick texture. Soft fizz. It’s fruity and punchy but, in my opinion, this isn’t up to Beak’s usual high standards. The condition isn’t as good as expected - this can was noticeably soft before opening, not sure if that’s a factor.
