Tap(RBESG 2014):Deep golden, hazy, medium-sized and slowly collapsing lacy off-white head; moderate herbal-hoppy nose with a citrussy touch; moderate to solid bitter-sweet flavour, nearly medium bodied and pretty soft; slightly lingering bitter-herbal finish, balanced by a small amount of sweet malt. Well drinkable session brew…

Bottle. House of Trembling Madness bottle shop, York. Cloudy amber. Thin, sticky, white head. Lovely, fruit salad sweet aroma. Spicy, biscuit malt, too. Some soft toffee. It’s a tad fusty, and I do like a bit fust. Taste is spicy dry, with the toffee sweetness kicking about. Light bitterness. Smooth palate, although a bit too much fizz, perhaps. Finishes spicy dry. Tasty.

330ml bottle. Hazy, copper-ish, dark amber colour with average to huge, thick, frothy to creamy, fairly lasting, moderately lacing, barely white head. Piney, herbal hoppy aroma, a touch of resin, spruce, orange and orange zest. Taste is dry hoppy, slightly herbal and piney, some spruce; no real (caramel) malty counterweight as you’d expect from an IPA (OK, it’s not an IPA), to withstand the intense Cascade flavours. Pretty much dark for a Golden Ale, not really balanced, no caramel malt sweetness to complement the Casacde. But not bad, though.

Hazy amber beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is airy and semi dry. Good fine carbonation. Airy dry malts, moderate sweetness. Hops are light citric peel and light pine. Mild hop spice and earthy bitterness. Light crisp dry finish. Decent.
