Bitburger 0.0 herb, Flasche von Edeka, Berlin. - Goldgelb, klar. (25.3.2024.)

Bottle 50 cl. Pours a clear golden with a solid, white head. Nose of wort and yeast. Light body, wort, cardboard and yeast, but at least some decent bittering hops in the finish. 270923

0.33 l bottle from 'REWE' (Wyk auf Föhr)', best before October 2023. Clear, golden with a medium large, frothy, almost stable, white head. Slightly sweetish, a bit grassy-spicy aroma of grains, some corn flakes and light hay. Slightly sweet, gently bitter, rather dry, a bit grassy-spicy taste of grains, some corn flakes, a touch of hay and traces of iron, followed by a short, gently bitter, dry finish. Thin to medium body, gently effervescent mouthfeel, soft to average carbonation. Drinkable but rather classic NA beer, maybe a bit drier than usual.

Smooth mild beginning. Moderate bitter, lots of grain. Breading in the aftertaste, not really bitter. Easy to drink, but a bit disappointing.

330 ml bottle. Clear dark golden, foamy head. Grassy hops, citrus, NA notes, corn, grain, slightly metallic. Hoppy bitterness, NA sweetness. Light bodied, oily watery texture, lively carbonated, hoppy metallic bittersweet finish. Not bad, decent NA Pils with a good North German Pils-like hop intensity.
