Bottle. Murky dark orange/brown feat. a small beige head. Aroma of clove, malts, orange and a little bit of rye. Taste of bread, rye, malts and caramel. Slightly fruity, sour and spicy. Bittersweet. Aftertaste is not that pleasant. Medium carbonation. Thin body. Well they can’t be all winners.

50 cl. bottle @ home, bought @ Trinkgut, Kleve. Clear dark amber with a thin white head. Caramel aroma with a sour almost vinous note. Sweet taste with again a sour note. Light metallic and some cardboard. Thin bodied. A bit strange and not entirely convincing.

Bottle. Murky brown color. Rye bread and floral notes in the aroma. Sourish flavor. Grainy with citrus. Short aftertaste. Quite un-German if you ask me.

Bottle looks good. Beer in the glass brownish, small head. Light sourish-spicy aroma. Starts malty-yeasty, spicy, wheaty. Also some sourish notes, a bit soapy. Hints of cough syrup. Finish milder but could be more balanced. Okay.

0,5 l bottle. Murky brown in the glass, mid size one finger pale beige foamy head. Low caramell smell. Taste has some apple sourness. Metallic part in the middle. Cardboard fruitieness in the second part. High carbonated. Not recommended.

Pours turbid brown from the bottle. The tall foamy head quickly settles to a thin, stable layer. Aroma has banana in it, light chocolate, and perhaps just a touch of rye. Sweet up front, full of chocolate and banana, but quickly turns more sour, in the direction of cherry. The rye really only comes out at the aftertaste, where it lingers on the tongue next to a banana sweetness. Body is medium, carbonation is mild. I was not expecting a Dunkelweizen when I opened the bottle but it turned out to be a good one.

Bottle:Deep amber coloured, cloudy, stable off-white foamy layer with microscopic lace; sweetish-sourish bready (sic!) nose with unexpected hints of chocolate; light to medium bodied, relatively soft; moderate sweet-sour flavour; citrussy traces in the soft sourish-grainy to bready finish. Not my cup of tea, but surely interesting…
