Pours turbid brown from the bottle. The tall foamy head quickly settles to a thin, stable layer. Aroma has banana in it, light chocolate, and perhaps just a touch of rye. Sweet up front, full of chocolate and banana, but quickly turns more sour, in the direction of cherry. The rye really only comes out at the aftertaste, where it lingers on the tongue next to a banana sweetness. Body is medium, carbonation is mild. I was not expecting a Dunkelweizen when I opened the bottle but it turned out to be a good one.

Bottle:Deep amber coloured, cloudy, stable off-white foamy layer with microscopic lace; sweetish-sourish bready (sic!) nose with unexpected hints of chocolate; light to medium bodied, relatively soft; moderate sweet-sour flavour; citrussy traces in the soft sourish-grainy to bready finish. Not my cup of tea, but surely interesting…

Kaum getreidiger, dafür etwas säuerlicher Antrunk. Beide Aromen steigen an, erhöhte Karbonisierung. Mild herb, ab dem Mittelteil laff, geschmacklos. 8/9/6/6/8/6

A clear mahogany coloured brew with a small head of foam.

Malty nose with some rye in there. More sweet than spicy.

Semi sweet taste, again, the rye isn’t very spicy. A bit earthy. Easy drinking. Beer got cloudy with the last pour.

Mouthfeel went from good to a bit watery in the finish.

Decent brew overall.

Bottle. Pours clear amber with small off-white head. Clear aroma of rye malt, yeast and fruit, with subtle touches of hops. Sour flavour (not past BBD!) with heavy metal notes and touches of malt. Lingering, sour and grainy aftertaste. Off? Needs re-rating.

Bottle, 5.3%. Weak banana and citrus aroma. Cloudy amber/brown colour. OK stable tan head. The flavour is metallic and very citric. Long metallic aftertaste. Seems off, but is not past BB date.

Hazy amber with large head and lots of big bubbles in the beer. Aroma is malt, some yeast, and maybe a hint of rye.
