Kaum getreidiger, dafür etwas säuerlicher Antrunk. Beide Aromen steigen an, erhöhte Karbonisierung. Mild herb, ab dem Mittelteil laff, geschmacklos. 8/9/6/6/8/6

A clear mahogany coloured brew with a small head of foam.
Malty nose with some rye in there. More sweet than spicy.
Semi sweet taste, again, the rye isn’t very spicy. A bit earthy. Easy drinking. Beer got cloudy with the last pour.
Mouthfeel went from good to a bit watery in the finish.
Decent brew overall.

Bottle. Pours clear amber with small off-white head. Clear aroma of rye malt, yeast and fruit, with subtle touches of hops. Sour flavour (not past BBD!) with heavy metal notes and touches of malt. Lingering, sour and grainy aftertaste. Off? Needs re-rating.

Bottle, 5.3%. Weak banana and citrus aroma. Cloudy amber/brown colour. OK stable tan head. The flavour is metallic and very citric. Long metallic aftertaste. Seems off, but is not past BB date.

Hazy amber with large head and lots of big bubbles in the beer. Aroma is malt, some yeast, and maybe a hint of rye.

Pour is a dark brown with a large tan head. Lots of floating things as well. Aroma is some caramel malt with black bread. Flavor is a decent spicy grain with some nuttiness. Finish is thin with more of the dark bread left on the tongue. Decent little beer here. Probably a good example of a taste from the old world of brewing. Now 13 ratings and none from Germany?

Pours deep, cloudy mahogany. Mocha head with medium retention recedes to skim surface. Dark pumpernickel and molasses aromas. Soft with sourdough and pumpernickel upfront turning to dark molasses before the medium length pit fruit finish.

Fles 50cl thuis als Sudmeister Roggen Bier. Roggensmaak duidelijk. Scherpig, zoettonen, kruidig. Wat waterig. (11-2013).
