A strong ruby ale with spicy hop aromas and a rich malty finish. Brewed from the finest malted barley and Kentish hops this 'BEAST' of a beer is deceptively easy-drinking for its strength and is conditioned naturally in the bottle to produce a sparkle and sediment characteristic of all great living beers.

Clear deep amber - red beer. Residual white head. Smooth semi dry palate. Creamy malt with a little banana. Very mild, almost insipid, orange hops. Semi dry finish. Tastes like a standard English bitter turned up to 11.

Bottle (Stockholm Beer Festival 2012) - Copper coloured. Dried fruit, sultanas and toffee in the aroma. Malty and sweet taste with notes of malt, toffee and grapefruit.

12/IV/2012 - 500ml bottle @ The Goods Shed (Canterbury) - BB: X/12 (2012-347) Thanks to Thomas for sharing the beer!

Clear red brown beer, small beige head, unstable, little adhesive. Aroma: fruity, sweet malts, some caramel, touch of vegetables, barnyard. MF: soft carbon, medium to full body. Taste: little sweet, malty, fruity, hint of chocolate, little bitter. Aftertaste: caramel, little sweet, some banana.

Bottle: Clear, chestnut-amber coloured, stable off-white foamy layer, robust sweetish-fruity (dried fruits) nose with a robust hoppy background; moderate to solid sweet-bitter flavour, medium bodied; becomes drier in the fruity-hoppy finish. Nice and pleasant.....

Bottle @ home. Dark red-brown color, small off-white head. Smell sweet and lightly alcoholic. Taste toasted malts, some roastyness. A bit odd.

Bottle 500ml. @ HenrikSoegaard Sommerhus Tasting - Handrup Strand.Clear medium amber colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, toffee, moderate hoppy, grass, orange - citrus, UK hops. Flavour is moderate to light light heavy sweet and bitter with a average to long duration, spicy hops, malty, caramel. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20110626]

Bottle. Clear amber/brown with medium off-white head. Flavour is malt, caramel, fruit, hops, nuts, little spicy and a little butter.

Bottle courtesy fonefan. Nice head with good duration. Color is amber. Aroma and taste are coffee, caramel, chocolate, malt and hops.

Bottle. Frothy white fair mostly deminishing head. Amber colour. Heavy malty aroma. Powerfull caramellic notes. Moderate bitter nice caramelli flavor. Some coffee notes. Average moderate bitter finish. Oily palate.
