Creamy lightbrown good mostly diminishing head. Black colour. Heavy malty and hoppy aroma. Heavy bitter flavor. Long heavy bitter finish. Creamy palate.

Aus der Flasche (bbe 01.04.2027) im 2023-09 getrunken. Dieses dunkelbraune Ale kommt mit deutlichen schweren Schokoladen und Toffee Aromen daher, was deutlich an eine Imperial Stout erinnert als an ein Barley Wine. Das Bourbon BA fällt in diesen schweren Aromen und der üblichen etwas höheren Viskosität nicht weiter auf. Ein tolles Bier aber kein BarleyWine Stil erkennbar.

Bottle@Musta Kynnys, Jyväskylä. Pitch black colour, small white head. Aroma is liquorice, toffee, alcohol, some chocolate too. Flavour is chocolate, liquorice, toffee alcohol, very sweet.

Bottle, 330 ml shared with kajser27, Max and MiroB. Black with beige head. Chocolate, quite sweet, bourbon, dried fruit, some fruity notes. Medium+ bodied.

-1 point for the ridiculous, irritating and superfluous wax. Viscously pouring to a slowly building russet-ish brown head over jet-black beer. Alcoholpunch in the nose, but then aromatic wafts of blueberries, billberries, black chocolate, Sachertorte. More syrupy in the mouth, with black chocolate(sauce), smoked, roasted and fusels. Faint stout acidity, dark grapes making the fruity leg in the taste. Full bodied, alcoholwarming, creamy from the head. Very good Barley wine, exhibiting quite some stout features. Txs to Stef!

Bottle sample at a tasting at Yoav's place. Black. Bourbon, vanilla, chocolate, a bit of dark fruits, sweet, mild fruity sourness, full-bodied. Great.

Bottle picked up from M&F bottle shop and drunk at home (08/09/2022) - black with a good healthy tan head. The aroma seeping out on open is lovely and taste follows, sweet malty with notes of caramel and fudge, some cocoa, brown sugar, dark dried fruit, spices, beautiful full mouthfeel and body, smooth bourbon infused malty lingering finish. Glorious.

33cl bottle @ Pien Shop, Helsinki. Poured black in color, light head. Berry sourish aroma at first, raisiny malty and woody. Molasses. Barrel notes. Heavy.
