Rice lagers, or sometimes branded as Lite Lagers, have been popular in macro-brewing for decades. The first beer you ever drank may well have been a stolen swig, or a hard-earned 18th birthday pint of rice lager.

We’ve combined that nostalgia with a craft touch by hopping it with Citra for that signature citrus-blossom aroma and smooth bitterness. Nostalgic stylings, with a contemporary twist.

44cl can. A clear pale yellow golden beer with a white head. Aroma of citrusy hops, pale malt, some grains and flowers. Taste of citra hops, flowers, mild grainy pale malt. Moderate to long bitter finish.

Crystal clear, must be the clearest craft beer I've seen in ages. Dense white head. Smells a bit citrusy, rice, hint floral. Nicely crisp body, soft finish, very easy. Taste is well balanced, light bitterness, some subtle citrus and a tiny bit of malt.

To start off... Lovely idea to Scotland's national drink. It pours. Leaf pale gold with a small, frothy white head. The aroma is fresh, fragrant, zingy sweet citrus, lemon, orange, marmalade, lemon curd, perfumed, orange blossom, tango, quite clean and fragrant. The taste is crisp, dry, fairly clean, soft sweet malt base, rice cakes in the mix, pithy, zesty, orange, lemon, lemon curd, tangelo, grass, light spice, touch pissy and light spice with a drying finish. Average body and moderate fluffy carbonation. Nice Citra light lager.

Can. Northern Monk online. Very soft haze on a very pale gold. Thin white foam. Nose has pretty punchy Citra. Wheaty malt. Taste is light sweet with a moderate citrus bitterness. Refreshing and quite dry on the palate. Brisk carbonation. Dry and light bitter finish. Easy drinking affair.
