Roasted malts with notes of coffee and caramel, complemented by a subtle hop bitterness.
The Saison Noire is a departure from traditional dark beers with its light body and dry palate that offer both refreshment and flavor. Therefore, this Saison Noire will also appeal to beer aficionados that usually are less attracted to dark beers.

Gushing to huge, pinkish tinted cream head; hazy, lively carbonated dark brown beer. Wood, plywood, moss, wet cardboard, chocolate. Dry, woody, plywood, dry chocolate. Rather well-bodied, good carbonation, very slick, creamy feel. Dry, woody... Simple and pleasing. But gushing.

23 December 2025. At Tush, Ghent. Cheers to the Teamleader crew!
A: hazy black, big, stable, foamy, beige head.
A: star aniseed, clove, coffee pad, grapefruit peel.
T: sweetish brambleberry, sourish citrus zest, aniseed, some toast.
F: earthy hops, some soapy spiciness, coffee residue.
P: medium body, slick texture, average carbonation.
Not bad, but not excelling anywhere.

Highly drinkable. Soft roast. Light yeast, burnt wheat, cocoa, torched toffee. Really nice.

Not a saison, of course, with all the roasted malts and coffee toffee. A mix between a Brown ale and a Dunkel, with extra hops and a vaguely earthy yeastiness.

20/VIII/22 - 33cl bottle @ Gents Bierfestival, BB: 15/II/24, lot: 2201/P727 (2022-1085)
Clear red brown beer, small beige head, pretty stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: very malty, grains, hay, cow fodder, caramel touch, hint of chocolate. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: malty, grains, caramel, bitter, cow fodder, a bit metallic, meh. Aftertaste: dry, spicy, hay, cow fodder, gentle roast, not a bit fan of this weird beer style mash-up.
