Crianza belongs to the family of Flemish Red-Brown ales. Born out of a mixed fermentation, she spent more than a year in oak barrels.
Her body has copper reflections, and her aspect is limpid. Her foam is beige and creamy, with a nice hold. She smells like Northern cherries, with a woody and winey accent, and a slightly animal touch given by the Brettanomyces yeast. In the mouth, these flavors are completed by stewed apples, notes of Agen plums, blackberries, spices (cinnamon, cloves, licorice), and a very lightly caramelized touch of malt and biscuit. Her slightly sour character makes her surprisingly refreshing.
She is at 7,4% ABV (hardly perceptible).

Couleur cuivre, col fin crémeux café au lait.
Arôme sur un bouquet balsamqiue, funk, souffré, rétro presque sur un côté céréales, fruits noirs - cerises, mûres.
Palais présente une belle note 'sour' allant rapidement vers un côté vieille brune avec un léger résidu de douceur en fin de bouche. Tanique avec une pointe balsamique, caramel, fruits noirs - baies cassis et mûres, petite note céréale rappelant une biscotte. Léger picotement en fin de bouche dna sla gorge.
Correcte mais pas mon meilleur souvenir de la Crianza.

Light brown with a reddish hue and a thin head. Lots of sharp woody notes. Slight red wine vinegar acidity but very mild.

Roodbruin bier met weinig achuim. Smaak is fris fruitig en licht zuur met iets van druiven, wat grapefruit en kersen.

33cl Fles van De Bierkoning. Kon geen serienummer (IV) zien op het label, maar dit moet hem zijn. Roodbruine kleur, beige kraag. Licht funky, zurig, balsamico, licht vineus, zure kersen, licht moutig, wat gebrande bruine suiker, hout, bittere en lichtzure finish. Lichte body. Degelijk, smakelijk.

Clear deep amber beer, small creamy off-white head, little stable, non adhesive. Aroma: oxidized, fruity, sweet impression, some caramel, acetone, a little floral. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: bitter start, a bit sourish, some vinegar, a bit fruity, blackberries, blackcurrants, a bit sharp. Aftertaste: bitter, tannins, earthy, leather, redcurrants, some caramel.

De La Senne tasting at Carlsens Kvarter. Hazy red amber with a lasting off-white head. Aroma of cherry, , figs, caramel and balsamic vinegar. Dry and tart fruity flavour with the usual exceptional balance of the brewery.

330 ml, bottled 11 Feb 22. Copper body, with a quite small, creamy, yellowish head. Aroma of oak, overripe fruits, cherry, leather, balsamico, some funk. Tastes quite similar, with some more vanilla and red apple. Quite creamy mouthfeel, with a moderately fizzy carbonation. Finishes vinous, quite dry, moderate acidic, wooden, leathery, with green apple zest and ripe fruits. Quite old-school style example, while with a lot of character and complexity. The acidity is perfectly balanced, drinks really elegant, with beautiful vinous notes and loads of diverse fruits. Score: 8 / 4 / 8 / 4 / 16
