Bottle at BBT in july 2023. Med-full body, medium carbonation. Assertive alcoholic warmth, pleasant and soft, but all the same pretty intense. Lots of chocolate, toffee, cocoa. Med-light woody character, and lots of width of dried fruits, winey, character. The barrel ageing here worked pretty well, as did the blending. Very rich and wide flavour. Very good, rewarding sipper, despite being pretty warm. Quite good.

Shared at BBT 7/2023. Dark brown color with beige head. Aroma of dark malt, desert wine, raisins, date, maybe whiskey. Taste is dark malt, chocolate, nougat, Sweet wine, whiskey, warming alcohol. Nice.

Sample at TCBW 2023 Opaque colour, small beige head. Toasted aroma with whiskey and portwine. Full-bodied. Roasted, mellow flavour. Also some portwine and ash. Ok.

A small taste on tap @ TCBW 2023. Pours very dark brown with a low head. Aroma is sweet roasted malts with some whisky. Flavor is sweet roasted malts, whisky, chocolate, hops. Very nice.

Smell of red wine, tar. Black colour, tiny brown head. Aroma of roasted malt, tar, some red wine and vanilla. Sweet, mildly bitter. Flat carbon.

Batch 479. Dark brownish black, fine edge of light brown foam. Smells rich, lightly roasty, dark chocolate, dessert wines. Lovely smooth body, velvety soft, decent carb. Taste is medium sweet, lots of chocolate milk. Salty roast in the back. Bit whisky.

330 ml bottle. Pours black with moderate tan head. Aromas of oaky whiskey, dusty raisins, dry dark chocolate, sugar and roasted malts. Flavors of chocolate liqueur, powdery cocoa, whisky and port barrel, coconut, and roasted malts. Dry finish, though still a bit sticky. Very good

Bottle.pitch black colour with small beige head.Aroma of whisky and coffee roasted and sweet warming with smooth barrel note,nice well balanced finish.

Bottle. Pitch black color with beige head. Aroma is intense chocolate and barrel sugars, caramel, fudge, port too, some sauternes sweetness. Taste is chocolate, wood, barrel sugars, port, some warming booze. Velvety mouthfeel, rather high but soft carbonation. Very, very nice!
