Bottle. Pitch black color with beige head. Aroma is intense chocolate and barrel sugars, caramel, fudge, port too, some sauternes sweetness. Taste is chocolate, wood, barrel sugars, port, some warming booze. Velvety mouthfeel, rather high but soft carbonation. Very, very nice!

12/XI/22 - on tap @ Billie’s Craft Beer Fest (day 2), BB: n/a (2022-1568) Thanks to all for sharing today’s beers!
Clear black beer, small creamy dark beige to brown head, non adhesive. Aroma: oh my, yes, good roast, malty, some dark chocolate, caramel, soy sauce, coffee notes, a bit oxidized. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: sweet start, lots of alcohol, bitter coffee, good roast, cocoa powder, a bit of caramel malts, a hint of vanilla. Aftertaste: dark molasses, dried fruits, alcohol, bitter, wood, some tannins, dark chocolate, very pleasant beer!

Near opaque dark brown beer, shows clear at the extremities, small pale tan head. Smooth and slightly viscous palate, reasonable fine carbonation. Soft dark malts, cream and mellow chocolate malts, whisper of Malteasers. The triple barrelling is delivered with aplomb. The Sauternes sweet fruits are immediately obvious, sticky sweet and ripe. They go very well indeed with the whiskey barrelling and the spice and the oak barrel induced vanilla. Ripe fruits are obvious but smooth and wonderfully ripe. The very smallest of critiques I have for this marvellous brew is that the port barrelling is a little behind the other two treatments, but still brings a rich ripe red and black berries vibe. Finishes smooth. Drinks wonderfully easy for its 13%. A sumptuous and very well layered Impy delight.
