Draught@TCBW2023. Black colour, small brown head. Aroma is wooden, some toffeeish tones with mild nutty and toasted tones as well. Also a bit liquorice. Flavour is wooden, some toffee, dried fruits, nutty, toasted and mild caramel tones with some liquorice. Mellow and not that attacking as for the alcohol.

Pours very dark brown with light brown head. Aroma has notes of milk chocolate, a bit of roasted malt, whiskey and port. Flavour is very rich; has solid chocolate base with great balance of the barrel flavours. Slight woody dryness and booziness on the finish. Fantastic, very well-balanced.

330mL bottle, pours jet black with a small light brown head. Aroma is somewhat unassuming, with a nice, subtle, cohesive mix of dessert red wine, port, a touch of whiskey, and subtle dark sugars. Flavour is very rich, showcasing the Sauternes and port barrels most explicitly; I don't get much whiskey. There's some sugars in there, but they're mostly contained in the wine expression. Doesn't try to clobber you, yet everything is cohesive and full. Probably a bit overrated, but this is very well-done.

complex woody vineuos port like whiskey and roasted malty aroma, super nice aroma, about as good as it can get with barrel aged imp stouts, various barrels mix up beautifully. Super nice aroma. flavor is roasted malts, alc. burn, faint port wine, coffee and wood, chilli bite, faint dark chocolate. Very good flavor, and i think chilies or is it alc?, adding warmth and bite. Truly a great barrel aged.
