33 cl. can @ home, bought @ Edrink, Eindhoven. Clear old yellow with a white head. Malty aroma with some white wine and cognac. Sweet taste with a semi-dry vinous finish. Light sour touch as well. Nice one.

Dark orange colour, bit of creamy foam. Smells sweet, grapey. Pretty thick and chunky. Pretty boozy. Taste is highly sweet, lots of white wine there, some wood, some grapes. Caramelly too, giving it more sweetness. Not that good a saison. Too sweet for me

Well over a year old. Pours a deep amber colour, slightly hazy, and a huge dens off white head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma is full of fruit, soft and tropical, sweet and sour. Retronasal it's fruity, caramel, woody vinous. Flavour is light sweet, light sour, woody/tannines, very light bitter. Alcohol is warming. Medium bodied. Long finish, woody and light bitter.

Ce vieillissement en fût de cet imperial saison ne m'a pas pleinement convaincu. Prédominant, il écrase complètement les autres arômes et l'imperial saison ne s'exprime pas réellement en tant que tel. Avec une petite aigreur, le vieillissement n'est pas au top non plus. L'ont-ils laissé trop longtemps en barrique ? En verre, nous sommes sur un ambré voilé (EBC de 29), avec une mousse blanc noisette de 5 mm. Le nez se porte principalement sur le fût de chêne accompagné de vanille, d'une petite aigreur (clémentine sûre) et d'arômes de vin blanc. L'attaque est relativement sucrée, avec une petite acidité et des arômes de citron et de caramel qui s'ajoutent au cocktail découvert au nez. La complexité n'est pas extraordinaire. La seconde bouche laisse davantage s'exprimer l'alcool, donnant du caractère sans entièrement faire ses 12 % et globalement bien intégrée. L'amertume avec 25 d'EBU reste modérée avec un Cascade (mono houblon) qui ne se reconnaît pas réellement. L’arrière-bouche est plus portée sur l'acidité sans que la corpulence n'en pâtisse, plutôt bonne. Le final, porté sur le fût s'écrase par contre un peu rapidement laissant l'alcool en bouche. Kees sur ces Barrel Project fait des tests sans tous les réussir.

Tap @ Borefts. Amber color. Marzipan and white wine in the aroma. Malty sweet, vinous flavor with marzipan and oak. Not the best of the Barrel aged series.

Draught @ 10th. BBF 2018 [ 10th Borefts Beer Festival 2018 ] @ Brouwerij de Molen, Bodegraven, Netherlands. [ As Kees Barrel Project 18.12 ].Unclear medium amber orange colour with a small to average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, rich malt, caramel, sweet malt, dried fruit, wine, alcohol, light wood. Flavor is moderate sweet with a long duration, wood, dried fruit, rich malt, alcohol, some barrel - wood - vanilla stuff is going on. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft.
