500ml bottle. Poured a clear medium amber with a short-lived frothy white head. The aroma is malt, light fruit, light woody hop. The flavour is moderate to light bitter with a light watery metallic hop bitter palate. Medium to light bodied with average carbonation. Decent aroma but thatโ€™s where it ends Iโ€™m afraid. If were Rudolph Iโ€™d be on strike if this was my โ€œrewardโ€.

Clear 500ml bottle from a local Lidl: last one on the shelf, should have left it there! Shared with my son on Christmas Day 2016 during a mini tasting session. Red hue to the amber body, thin white head. Slight malty aroma, mild hop bitterness in the taste: no Christmas spices or flavours. Waste of money, even if it was cheap.

Bottle from Lidl, Sowerby Bridge. Copper coloured with a thin head. A bitter in character with a very light chocolatey sweetness in its background.

500ml bottle from local supermarket. Deep golden coloyr with thin white head. Very light hop aroma. Taste is mainly sweet malt. I didnโ€™t pick up on the spice.

Bottle (short dated) from the local offy. For the grand sum of 80p! Clear, reddy brown with a lovely, creamy, lasting, off white head. Looks good! Aroma of sweet toffee maltiness. Some fruit. A hint of hops too! Taste is a slightly burnt, light sweetness. Actually quite enjoyed this. Especially for the money.

Aroma has some english toffee and hints of goldings style hops. Flavour is somewhat sweet with toffee, somewhat harsh malt, some caramel, hops and hints of biscuits. Yet another bitter.

500ml bottle. Pours an orange copper with a medium head. Aroma is fruity malt and skint, spicy hops. Taste has some fruity malt to start and a watery, caramel finish. Bland.
