This smooth blonde beer is very light in colour and uses cascade and first gold hops to give refreshing hoppy and complex grapefruit flavours on the palate

500ml bottle from Sainsbury?s. Pours a clear gold with a thin white head. Some nice lacing. Aromas of butterscotch, bread, musty, light citrus fruit. Taste has a good bitterness, but is both oily and minerally. Ok. Just.

I don't know why it's lost my rating for this one. I'll add another full review if / when I have it again

50cl bottle from Sainsbury’s Beer Hunt 2013 range. Clear gold lasting thin white head. Slightly pasteurised aroma. Some faint hop on the finish but the pasteurisation just ruins the beer. It’s a regular golden ale with some extra bitter hoppiness on the finish. But the heat treatment of the beer doesn’t do it any favours.

50cl bottle from Sainsbury’s Beer Hunt 2013 range. Pale amber with a billowing white head; light citrus aroma; soft in the mouth with a sharp grapefruit taste and grainy mouthfeel; and a gentle bitterness to finish. Fairly typical of the style.

Cask on stillage at the Marlow Donkey, Marlow. Bright amber with a fading white head; citrus aroma; soft in the mouth with a sweet citrus taste then a sharper bite; and a rather sticky finish. Rather average.

Half pint, cask ale, shared with Finn at York Tap. Filmy white layer to an unclear, golden coloured body. Grassy hops to the nose. Lemony hops in flavour leading to a dry bitter end. Mealy palate. Ordinary (York, 26.01.2013).

Cloudy, medium-bodied and extremely fruity blonde pale ale, more so in taste than aroma.
