Bourbon Barrel-Aged Imperial Stout
Original Sin Bourbon Barrel is a chocolate treasure-trove with deep boubon barrel overtones. The dark malt complexity of this imperial stout gives way to notes of milky mocha coffee, vanilla, and dark chocolate. Layered in between are soft, gentle aromas of warm caramels and praline with big flavours of oak and walnut from one year in wood. It’s long, lingering finish is utterly sinful.

YG 171124. Dark brown color with a beige head. Aroma is caramel, bourbon, roasted malt, alcohol. Flavor is caramel, alcohol, bourbon, licorice, coffee, chocolate, cocoa, roasted malt. Powerful beer.

Bottle, 375ml. It pours an oily dark brown to black body under a quite minimalistic beige head. The aroma has a good dash of booze, but it's mostly sweet dark maltyness. Licorice, coffee, dark chocolate, some oak and vanilla and a good dash of brown sugar. Some prune too. It's full-bodied and warming, sweet, oily and very gently carbonated. The flavor has roasted malts, a light toasted, burnt hint and a boozyness that feels very pleasant at first but turns a bit harsh, burning at the end of each sip. Brown sugar, caramel sauce, some licorice and a good dash of dark chocolate. The chocolate tends towards cocoa powder in the flavor. Lots of oat-ish roasted malts and high cocoa content chocolate in the sweet, lightly boozy finish. Pity about the harsh boozy touch, else it's quite delicious this one. 241117

Black with a medium light brown head. Aroma of cocoa, chocolate, wooden barrels and vanilla. Sweet with a nice cocoa, vanilla and wooden bære end. Nice!

8-3-8-4-16 Bottle, #1530, three years before bbd. Pours pitch black, with a tiny creamy head. Aroma is sweet malty notes with chocolate, muscovado and sweet liquorice, as well as dark fruits and bourbon barrels. Medium to creamy body, with soft carbonation. Flavour is malts with bread, muscovado, liquorice and cocoa nibs, as well as dark fruits, oak and bourbon barrels. Lingering oaky notes with a sweetish finish.
