Bottle looks simple but really good. Beer in the glass zippy, dark brown, nice head. Starts soft-malty, modest yeasty, not too dry. Mild fruity notes of plum, modest sourish. Well balanced finish. Mild-malty aftertaste. Good!

Ins Glas ergießt sich ein trübes braunes Bier mit schöner Schaumkrone. Geruch hefig, röstmalzig, leicht fruchtig würzig. Geschmack hefig, leicht würzig, leicht fruchtig.

Bamberg Bash Day 2. Tap at the brewpub. Clear dark amber beer, big pale cream coloured head. Palate is airy and a little crisp. Smooth malt, floral sweetness. An almost candy caramel. Sweet banana and cloves. Crisp finish.

Day 2 of the post Xmas Bamberg Jolly, bottle shared at the brewery tap - Forchheim, 25/01/14. Lightly hazed chestnut brown with a good sized light beige head that retains well. Nose is brown bread, toffee, light banana, vanilla, spice. Taste comprises toffee, yeast esters, nana, clove, spices. Medium bodied, fine carbonation. Solid Dunkleweizen.

Bottle in Schlitz. Cloudy brown appearance with a tan head. Dark toasty, caramel malty, fairly yeasty, somewhat spicy, banana, light toffee aroma. A little tangy, bitter, tart fruity, caramel, banana flavor. Several things seemed a bit off.

Hazy magogany with amber glimts. Sweet aroma with roasted wheat, vanilla and banana. Flavour was roasted with vanilla, banana and wheat. Soft mouthfeel. Very sweet and dessert like.

Bottle @ Brewery. Pours hazy amber with a small creamy white head and lacings. Bread, wheat, grain, nuts and a bit of banana. Fine balance. Medium bodied. Good.
