Can from the Polish stall behind MIcrobar in the Manchester Arndale Centre. This is a red coloured lager with a touch of amber. Fairly strong with gives it a heavy sweet nose and a fair sweetness in its taste.

500ml can: BBD 18th Aug 14, poured into an Abbot Ale glass tankard some 12 days before it’s BBD. Looks fine, a reddy brown, clear body with a full, deep foaming crust of lightly tanned foam. Malty sweetness oozes from the brew in both the aroma and taste, this is uncomplicated and simple, you can feel the alcohol within the body and it’s OK because it suits the beer. Mild bitterness once the maltiness subsides and the sweetness is not so prominent after the initial sugar rush. I liked it.

Can at the chriso Pre-GBBF Shindig 2013 - London. One of my contributions to the cause! Pours clear copper with a creamy, mostly white head. Sweet, with notes of toffee. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Finishes with sugary, lightly toasted malts, simple bread. Basic stuff but pretty tasty overall.

Bottled. An amber beer with a beige head. The aroma has notes of caramel, bread, and straw. The flavor is sweet with notes of straw, bread, metal, alcohol, and caramel, leading to a dry metallic finish.

Big pale brown head. Clear deep dark brown body. Earthy dusty caramelly aroma with rye bread notes. Dry-sweet rye crisp bread and syrup taste with dusty fruity notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft mouthfeel. Dry-sweet caramelly dusty rye crisp bread aftertaste with spicy brown sugar notes. Very nice and highly drinkable. Excellent harmony. (0.5l bottle at Sami Swoi, Warsaw airport.)

Bottle, 6.5%. Lagery aroma, dark malts. Clear brown colour. Good stable off-white head. The flavour is caramelly with some alcohol, roasted malt finish, a little salt. More sugary than malty, actually, but not too shabby.

Bottle. Pours clear darkish amber with airy but stable, light beige head. Clear aroma of malt, caramel, and yeast, with hints of hops and butter. Sweetish flavour of caramel malt, with bitter, hoppy notes, and touches of roasted nuts and butter. Sweetish aftertaste. Watery. Looks like something must have gone wrong but I find it hard to say what. I first saw this beer in New York half a year ago and thought it was export only. It should have been, perhaps.
