In Chapter 3 ‘The Ghost Dimension’, brewed with our best beery pals Fierce Beer, our heroine has been cornered by the villain in the cabin and is entranced by the villain’s supernatural abilities. Our homemade mole sauce went into this beer, featuring 4 types of chillies, appropiately including the super ‘Fierce’ Naga ‘Ghost’ chillies for a fiery and smokey undertone on the palate.

Can. Opaque dark brown beer, good bubbly tan head. Airy smooth palate, decent fine carbonation. Soft fluffy dark malts, a little dark malt cream, tangy dark chocolate. Tangy dark fruits. Fair dose of cinnamon. Obvious chilli heat grabs from the get-go and never lets go but, also never escalates into silliness. Tangy choco ripe fruity finish leaves a long fruity chilli spice linger. Good fun, in small quantities.

Ystad Tasting (25/11/2023) - sweet dark malty with lots of chilli heat, odd flavour for this, full bodied, chilli infused malty finish, rather unbalanced.

20th March 2023. Monthly Beer Share, Chez Sophie in Shrewsbury; five guys who love beer and talk bollox while drinking. Hot stuff from Simon. 440ml can of black beer under a tanned layer of foam. There is some heat in the finish and plenty of malty goodness before it kicks in. Nice!

440ml can. Poured a clear almost black colour with a mostly lasting frothy tan head. The aroma is roasty malt, boozy alcohol. The flavour is moderate sweet and liqourice bitter, with a smooth, rich, roasty, red berry fruit, chilli spice, warm boozy alcohol bitter palate and an oily mouthfeel. Full bodied with soft carbonation.
