AGE OF NO LIGHT is a massive stout aged over a year in Taconic Distillery barrels, clocking in at 15% alcohol by volume. The nuances of malt, wood, and time are all abundantly present, with almost no bite and a smoothness you truly need to handle with care.

50cl bottle pours an oily black, beige thin head. Legs. Nose has malt, brownie batter, burnt caramel, Kahlua and booze. Flavor is big on cocoa and brownie, peppery, spicy, boozy too. Lots happening. Full, off dry, long, peppery finish. Booze is prickly.

4 oz draft. Aroma shows me rich bourbon on top of caramel and chocolate-like notes. The Taconic bourbon is alive and well in the flavor. Bourbon marries well with coffee and roasted malt. Full bodied. Lightly boozy BUT delicious!

Smells doughy, minty, bitter chocolate, nutty, marzipan. very nice smell. full body, no carbonation. Tastes minty, bitter chocolate, fudgy, nutty, vanilla, marshmellow. Finishes sweet with notes of mint, bitter chocolate and nutty notes. rather on the sweet side for me, overall good
