Bottle, 9.0%. Mild fruity aroma. Clear dark brown colour. Small tan head. Good caramelly flavour, sweet and slightly peppery. More malty than peppery, though.

Bottled at RBESG ’07. Nut bronw/amber. Aroma of salty molasses. Sweet and syrupy with boiled vegetables dipped in syrup. Some caramel, but general lack of substance and direction takes this beer nowhere.

Bottled at RBESG-06, GTN. Clear, reddish-brown with a beige head. Sweet and bitter aroma with coffee and chocolate. Quite weak. Except for the alcohol, the flavor is quite weak, with coffee, chocolate and roasted notes. Medium body and a finish that has a bit too much alcohol. In fact there’s a bit too much alcohol all the way, but it is not bad. Rating: 6-4-7-3-13-3.3. 060826
Bottle. A clear, brown beer topped by an off-white to beige head. Dried fruits, some notes of roasted malts, a little alcohol, and toffee on teh nose. The flavor is dry and roasted with some toffee and dried fruits. Dry, yet sweetish on the palate, full body. Long, roasted finish. A quite nice one that I could easily drink a few of, it hides the alcohol very well too. 100827

Bottled@RBESG’06. Dark brown color, small tan head. Molasses, brown sugar, maybe hints of oxidation too. Medium-bodied, quite light for 9% porter. Hides ABV well, but same time a bit tasteless - dunkel-like sweet roastiness.

A deep red beer with a nice disappearing beige head. The aroma is sweet and the alcohol bites in the eyes. The flavor is sweet with notes of chocolate and alcohol.
