This Coconut & Coffee Imperial Stout is brewed using our Imperial Stout ‘For Destruction’ as a base, which we then send though our Hop Rocket with Coconut Flakes & Whole Roasted Coffee Beans. The result being a rounded smooth warming blend of roasty coffee coconut goodness.

This dual release of For Destruction, our straight-up Imperial Stout, & this beer Appetite are a nod to one of our favourite music albums ever made.

Can. Near clear dark brown beer, small bubbly tan head. Light palate, a tad thin for the style, decent fine minerally carbonation. Cocoa powder dark chocolate malts, not rich. The coffee and coconut additions are noticeable and quite light on that order. Espresso richness works well enough with the cocoa, the coconut just provides a modicum of much needed sweetness. Finishes crisp, semi dry and leaves a mild bitter linger. Palate is a tad thin, the flavour quite grown up!

Sample thanks to Grumbo. Cheers mate! Pours a deep cola brown, no head to speak of. Aroma of marzipan, marshmallow, coconut, cake icing. Medium to full bodied, smooth desert-like sweetness encompassing the aforementioned flavours, soft roast, tangy boozy alcohol bitterness with a woody linger. Fairly sweet overall. Not really my kind of desert stout.

1/6/2024. Can at Prague GP beer share. From The Magnet Pub, Colchester. Pours close to black with a small frothy beige head. Aroma is nutty, roasted, coconut, roasted malt, biscuit, toffee, coffee. Medium sweetness, moderate roasted bitterness. Medium to full body, smooth, very soft carbonation. Nice sweet finish. Enjoyable.

A pint and a half, from keg at The Dog & Bell, Deptford. ABV is 8.8%. Imperial stout with coffee and coconut. Black colour, moderate tan head. Very nice roasty aroma and flavour, the coffee and coconut are there, but not overdone. Also notes of liquorice and dark chocolate, moderate bittering hops. A fruity hint of prunes. Not too sweet, very well balanced. A very good beer, I hope to see this gem in Norway soon.
